RULES
1. REGISTRATION
- The basic registration rules is similar to the BMS event Rule Standard version 003 (BRS ver.003), with no exception.
- Participants (referring to both music creators and BMS creators) must register their work(s) with the genres listed for the related teams (see in EVENT OVERVIEW section above). They also include all corresponding sub-genres.
-------
Therefore, sometimes the genre words are not necessary to put in the #GENRE field of the BMS for some sub-genres, such as:
1. gqom - sub-genre of House
2. Birmingham sound - sub-genre of Techno
3. R&B - sub-genre of Pop
4. Heavy metal - sub-genre of Rock
5. Various sub-genres of Dubstep
etc.
- While the sub-genres of the main genres are allowed, we would not say the same thing to the sub-genres of those sub-genres, such as Hyperfunk, a sub-genre of Hyperpop, which is a sub-genre of Pop.
- We will not perform a pre-registration stage for this battle.
- Music allowed in this battle can be an original work, an arrangement, a bootleg, a remix (with permission from original artist(s) if necessary), and copy BMS (with permission from original artist(s) if necessary). Copyrighted music (intentional or coincidental) and BMS that has already been available in public are prohibited.
- While test-playing or playing the unregistered BMS work(s) in this battle, please refrain from submitting the play result to any Internet Ranking before the registration. Failing to do so will result in disqualification to the related entry.
- One participant can register up to six (06) works in total, and three (03) works for each team, using the real artist/creator name or the related pseudonym(s), and collaboration work with other creator(s).
- Participants can make any play mode of BMS (Single Play, Double Play, PMS, 24KEYS, 48KEYS, BMSon, etc.), but make sure that there is at least one playable pattern in your BMS achieve before registering.
- While it is not compulsory, if the entry uses base-62 BMS format, BMSon, or any specific file format of materials that only works in certain BMS players, we recommend specifying that in the comment page of the entry site.
2. IMPRESSIONS
- The basic registration rules is also similar to the BMS event Rule Standard version 003 (BRS ver.003), with no exception.
- Comment is required in the impression.
- While submission in the Internet Ranking is optional, please make sure that you have played and completed at least one chart by yourself, not via Auto-play or watching video/listening to audio on medias.

-------
Along side with our management on impressions, all reports from the creators are also very crucial to track the impressions. Therefore, we encourage to file a report if you find one impression suspicious and have possible violation.
3. SCORING AND RANKING
- The scoring range for one impression is 1~10 points, with 1 (one) point being the lowest score, and 10 (ten) points being the highest score.
- There is no Bonus Criteria in this battle.
- About the Team Scoring and Ranking Format for this battle, we will use the Best of 3 Format (abbreviated: BO3) to determine the winning team. The following three (03) separated rankings will be used:
1 - TOTAL SCORE
The Total Impression Points for each individual work are calculated, and works are ranked based on this Total Score, with the highest score entry declared as the winner. If there are more than one entry with the same Total Score, the following Priority Order will be applied:
Higher Average → Higher Median → Higher Total Score of Top n Impression → Comparing every single impression from high to low until one is higher than the other → Lower Registration Number
(with "n" being the lowest number of impressions in one entry)
2 - MEDIAN × AVERAGE
The Multiplications of Median and Average for each individual work are calculated, and works are ranked based on this score, with the highest score entry declared as the winner. If there are more than one entry with the same score, the following Priority Order will be applied:
Higher Median → Higher Average → Higher Total Score → Higher Total Score of Top n Impression → Comparing every single impression from high to low until one is higher than the other → Lower Registration Number
(with "n" being the lowest number of impressions in one entry)
3 - SPECIAL SCORE
- The following Score Formula will be used for each individual work:
Score = (Total score of Top n impressions + Median score) × 9 / (n + 1) + Average score
(with "n" being the lowest number of impressions in one entry)
The scores are rounded to two decimal places. Maximum score: 100.00
-------
- Works are ranked based on the aforementioned score, with the highest score entry declared as the winner. If there are more than one entry with the same score, the following Priority Order will be applied:
Higher Average → Higher Median → Higher Total Score of Top n Impression → Higher Total Score → Comparing every single impression from high to low until one is higher than the other → Lower Registration Number
(with "n" being the lowest number of impressions in one entry)
HOW TO DETERMINE THE WINNING TEAM
- Based on the Scoring System from The Trail in Forza Horizon 5, we will use the following format for each of the three rankings above to determine the winning team:
One entry scores 10 (ten) Awarded Points for each entry from the opposing team with lower score
The winning entry scores an additional 05 (five) Awarded Points
The winning team is the team that has higher Total Awarded Score
Here is a detailed example, using the Total Score ranking:

Here is another example:

The team that has more Total Awarded Points in at least two rankings will win the battle.
