THE CONTINUATION OF
NANCYATTE A-1 CLIMAX -JUST KIDDING-
IS AN EXTREME SECRET

About

"Nancyatte A-1 Climax -Just Kidding-" was a BMS event organized by KidZ G (@K2GH808) in January 2021. It was a successful event with 11 entries competing and 196 impressions written. Therefore, in February 15, 2022, L216 has announced that he would organize the sequel of the event called "Nancyatte A-1 Climax Season 2 -Extreme Secret-".

So... What is the purpose of "Nancyatte" appearing in the event name?

According to KidZ G, "Nancyatte" is a Japanese slang term for "Just kidding", and the event itself is a joke version of "A-1 Climax" - an event series that was organized together with the series of 自称無名BMS作家が物申す! (both two events are precursors of the current annual MUMEI Academy). However, there is no relationship among the events, also according to KidZ G.

We hope that the sequel of Nancyatte A-1 Climax - "Extreme Secret" - will be even more successful, as we are adding new features and some changes on the schedule and rules.

EVENT SCHEDULE

There will be no Pre-registration Period in this event.

Registration Period:

From April 13, 2023 (Friday) 00:00 to April 15, 2023 (Sunday) 23:59

Impression Period:

From April 17, 2023 (Tuesday) 00:00 to May 7, 2023 (Sunday) 23:59

However, the Impression Period is not final.

It can be changed depending on the number of entries in the event.

Starting from Entry #11, every entry registered in the event will add one extra hour to the Impression Period, as follows:

- If the number of entries registered starting from Entry #11 is from 1-12 (or 25-36, 49-60,...), the remain after being divided by 24 will be added before the time the Impression Period starts. For example, if one (1) extra entry is registered, the Impression Period will be adjusted to start on April 16, 2023 at 23:00 (one hour earlier).

- If the number of entries registered starting from Entry #11 is from 13-24 (or 37-48, 61-72,...), the remain after being divided by 24 will be added after the time the Impression Period ends. For example, if 13 extra entries are registered, the Impression Period will be adjusted to end on May 8, 2023 at 00:59 (13 hours later).

- When dividing by 24, the result (quotient) will be added after the time the Impression Period ends by day. For example, if 24 extra entries are registered, the Impression Period will extend for one extra day, and it will end on May 8, 2023 at 23:59.

- The Impression Period extension will be done and announced up to 60 minutes after the Registration Period ends.

We will use scytheleg's event venue to organize the event.

All times involved are Japan Standard Time (UTC+9).

Rules

1. General

- Participants must register their works with pseudonym. The pseudonym will only be used for composer. That means vocalists, BGA/BGI makers, BMS charters and supporters will use the true name.
(If the music is made by more than one composer, you can only use one pseudonym for registration. About this situation, I will specify it in the rules below)
- BMS players will try to predict who the artist behind the pseudonym is.
- Participants will predict the ratio of correct guesses made by BMS players.

(If you participated or contributed in "Nancyatte A-1 Climax -Just Kidding-", the general rules must be familiar for you. This time I do a few chances to make the rules clearer)
- Special Rule: Because of the fact that MUMEI Academy 2023 is after this event, newcomers (artists that are completely new to BMS) are NOT allowed to register entry in Nancyatte A-1 Climax Season 2 -Extreme Secret-.

2. Registration

- The basic registration rules is similar to the BMS event Rule Standard version 003 (BRS ver.003), with no exception.

- Your work must be registered under a pseudonym as the artist.
- Beside the basic information, during your registration, you have to guess the ratio of correct guesses made by BMS players (in percent, ranged from 0 to 100). The percentage will be used for scoring and ranking after the evaluation period ends.
- You are also asked to enter up to 3 artists as fake choices (at least 1). There is no problem if you accidentally type an artist that also participates in the event.

(This rule is also applied even when the music is made by more than one composer)

- Music can be an original work, an arrangement, or a remix/bootleg. Copying music, sound sources, backgrounds, or BMS is prohibited.
- Copyrighted music is okay in this event.
- You can make any mode of BMS (Single Play, Double Play, PMS, 24KEYS, 48KEYS, BMSon, etc.), but please make sure that there is at least one playable pattern in your BMS achieve before registering.
- There is no limit to the number of entries one artist can register.

- Be careful while registering. If your true identity is exposed and visible to players, your entry will be disqualified.

3. Impression

- The basic impression rules is similar to the BRS ver.003, with no exception.
- Comment is not compulsory in this event.
- Make sure you have played at least one chart by yourself, not via Auto-play or watching videos on social media.
- The score range is 1-10 points.

- Giving impression to self's entry is allowed in this event, however all self-given impressions will be deleted by the organizers after the Impression Period ends. This rule is given for making the guess of BMS players more difficult.

By "giving impression to self's entry", you can only give impression using your real artist/BMS player name. Pseudonyms you used for registration is still allowed for impression, but in that case, you cannot give impression to self's entry.
- One player can only give one impression for each entry.
- All languages listed at
Dynamic Language is allowed for impression.

- Before the Impression Period, only comment about reporting issue is allowed.

- The following impressions, comments and responses will be deleted without notice:
1. Containing too much self-talking speech
2. Containing hate speech, harassment or offended words/phrases
3. Spamming impression
4. Containing shortened URL

5. Containing self-promotion
6. Comparing the related entry with other entries
7. Impression as a commission for money or gift (bribing)

8. Other inappropriate impressions that are not listed above

4. Prediction

- A list of participants, including fake participants, will be released up to 60 minutes after the registration period ends. If there is a fake participant that does not exist on the BMS Search page (bmssearch.net), it will be removed.
- The list of fake participants is from the Registration information of the entries.
- The list is sorted by Alphabet Ascending priority (A -> Z).

- All BMS players giving impressions to entries in the event must predict who the artist hiding behind the pseudonym is. BMS players can guess more than one artist if you think that the music is made by more than one artist.
- The BMS Players' Prediction Percentage is the number of correct guesses of BMS players among all guesses in percent. If the music is made by more than one composer, the Percentage is the number of BMS players guessing either one of the composers or both among all guesses in percent.

5. Scoring and Ranking

There are two rankings for the event

1. Impression Ranking:

- We will use the following formula for calculating scores and ranking entries:

Score = (Total score of n highest impressions + Median score) × 10 / (n + 1)

+ Average score × 1.1

(n = the lowest number of impressions in one entry. Maximum score: 111)
- If there are entries having the same score, the following priority order will be
used:

Total score of n highest impressions -> Average score -> Total score -> Median score -> Comparing every single impression from high to low -> The latest impression time -> Registration order

2. Final Ranking:

- We will use the total score of n highest impressions (n = the lowest number of impressions in one entry) and the prediction from participants to calculate scores and rank entries. The following formula will be used:

Score = Total score of n highest impressions

+ X × 1.2 × (100 - Prediction difference) ÷ 100

(X = the difference between the highest score and the lowest score of n highest impressions)
- If there are entries having the same score, the following priority order will be used:

Total score of n highest impressions -> Prediction difference -> Average score -> Total score -> Median score -> Comparing every single impression from high to low -> The latest impression time -> Registration order

All rankings is ordered from high to low. Entry with higher score will be ranked higher.

There is no Total Ranking in this event.
